About me
My name is Matilde and I have been a psychomotor therapist since 2022, when I graduated from the Haute École Léonard de Vinci. I practise with passion, care, attentive listening and empathy, in line with the Ethical Charter of the UPBPF.
My work relies on close collaboration with families and professionals.
Driven by a desire to learn, I continue to train, particularly in neurodevelopmental disorders (ASD, DCD, ADHD, etc.) and in mind-body and sensory approaches.
My areas of intervention
- Motor: gross and fine motor skills, sensorimotor development.
- Emotional: managing emotions, anxiety, frustration…
- Relational: working on social skills…
- Behavioural: managing agitation, psychomotor inhibition.
- Sensory: sensory awareness, work on hypo- and hypersensitivity.
- Educational: independence, handwriting movements…
The disorders I treat
I offer psychomotor assessments and care adapted for children, teenagers and adults with the following disorders:
- Neurodevelopmental disorders: autism spectrum disorder (ASD), mild to moderate intellectual disability, communication and/or social interaction disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), with or without hyperactivity, developmental coordination disorder (DCD), cerebral palsy (CP), visuospatial disorders, dysgraphia
- Muscle tone disorders (psychomotor instability or disharmony)
- Disorders of body schema, laterality, and spatial and temporal organisation…
- Attachment disorders
- Eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, body image disorder)
- Depressive and/or anxiety disorders
My therapeutic approach
In a caring, safe setting, I begin all care with a case history interview and psychomotor assessment sessions to evaluate the person’s motor, emotional and behavioural abilities. This assessment makes it possible to set precise psychomotor goals and offer individually tailored sessions adapted to the patient’s needs.
During sessions, the person takes part in psychomotor experiences using different approaches suited to their needs, such as relaxation, breathing, free play, motor games, symbolic play, rhythm, drama, tonic discharge… The aim is to allow them to develop at their own pace in a safe, caring setting.
Every person deserves an individual approach that respects their needs: I support each of them with care, every step of the way.
Movement is all that can bear witness to mental life, and it expresses that life in full until the moment speech appears.
